Lynchburg Reads – River of Wrath Review

After reading the first book — River of Ashes — I knew this was going to be one of my most anticipated reads for 2023. First and foremost, another outstanding cover that draws you into the darkness. Every time I look at it, something new stands out, capturing my attention. Stunning, haunting, and moving all in itself! It alone makes you wonder what the pages between hold.

Throughout the entire book, I felt like I was in a noir film. Everything was dark, except for the main action at the moment. It was brought to life with vivid descriptions, highlighting all five senses while reading. The Devereaux family is wrought with deceit, murder, and secrets that make your skin crawl. But with added layers of new players to the mix, this book leaves you haunted as to who is the darkest of them all.
